I am a procurement professional with full MCIPS qualification and 14 years experience in private and public sector procurement. I am passionate about procurement in general but more specifically that in the public sector and the ability to contribute to cost savings for our public sector organisations especially in the current climate. I am a husband and Father and enjoy everything regarding family life as well as socialising with family and friends, ideally over a nice meal. My personal interests are music (especially Bruce Springsteen), film and sport (predominantly football and athletics).

Procurement and Contracts Manager

Procurement For All (PFA)

Within 12 months at Procurement For All I was promoted to the position of Procurement and Contracts Manager. In this role whilst, maintaining quality levels, I streamline operations for procurement in alignment with Procurement For All's business objectives, provide management support for daily operational activities and support the Managing Director in delivering the business plan. I lead the timely delivery of a complete end to end procurement service including all aspects involved within; a) managing and supporting Procurement For All Members in Mini Competition processes, ensuring compliance and transparency throughout by providing a complete support service including all administrative aspects. b) supporting and delivering the procurement of new and existing Frameworks including the whole tender process and managing workshops with Members and potential service providers. c) support the Managing Director in the management of ad-hoc procurement activities. I attend and contribute to key meetings such as Board Meetings, Corporate Improvement Meetings, Member Meetings (as Chair), Service Provider Meetings (as Chair), Working Group Meeting (as Chair) and Team Meetings. I am responsible for the development and maintenance of day to day relationships with Procurement For All Members and Service Providers. This requires areas such as supporting the identification of future procurement opportunities with Members, the logging and managing of key enquiries and general communications from Service Providers and Manufacturers regarding opportunities. This also includes supporting the Managing Director in the management of sales enquiries. I lead and assist on project planning, resource commitment regarding procurement activities and advising on procurement strategies (and where relevant incorporating them in processes relating to Framework and Mini Competition activities). I analyse procurement data and report / act on the findings providing Value For Money

In this role I create and manage Frameworks for the Public Sector, run drawdown processes such as mini competitions and am responsible for two Procurement Administrators. We currently manage 14 OJEU compliant contractor, supply and install, Frameworks with a combined turnover of approximately £50m per annum. I am currently working on creating 3 new Frameworks for release in Autumn / Winter 2016. The first is a Heating, Servicing, Maintenance, Installations and Associated Services Framework, the second is a Lift Servicing Framework and the third a Water Hygiene Framework. These Frameworks will be available to housing and non-housing public sector organisations for commercial, communal and domestic properties. I gained a position in the HR and Training department at Magnox Generation (formally British Nuclear Fuels) Nuclear Power station in Oldbury gaining experience that helped me apply more of a real world understanding to my final year at University. The degree focused on many elements of business beyond HR such as management, marketing, finance, negotiation, world business and training.
