I am transitioning into a position and career in procurement and acquisitions. For anyone, what are the pieces of advice that you would give a new professional in this field?

I am completing my MBA and I have a background in management consulting but little experience in stakeholder relationship management with regards to purchasing and procurement contract management. I also come from prior military background so I have some similar experiences in dealing with operations management and analysis that parallels very closely with industry research and planning.
