About Me

Currently working for the Electricity Company of Ghana(ECG), I have completed a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Procurement, Supply Chain and Logistics Management with Merits from the Salford University, Master of Business Administration (MBA) in General Management and a full member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS) and also recognized for having passed the CIPS ethical procurement and supply 2015 test.
My experiences have been enhanced by the diverse positions handled in various departments within the Materials & Transport and the Procurement Directorates, having worked initially as a storekeeper, through materials officer (both at the materials and shipping sections) and currently as a Principal procurement officer.
My personal competencies lie in the area of integrity and trust, customer focus and communication, and in order to balance the demands of work commitment, studies and family I have become an effective time manager.

Responsibilities
• Initiates the tendering process for the procurement of International Competitive Bidding (ICB) and National Competitive Bidding (NCB).
• Participates in the negotiation with suppliers for favourable conditions of contract.
• Supervise the preparation of contract documents and orders for thresholds up to USD 100,000.
• Review monthly status reports on annual procurement plan and assist the head of Procurement on remedial actions to take.
• Deliver full end to end ‘cradle to grave’ procurement processes, including data collection, enquiry documents preparation, negotiation, contract award, contract management and supplier relationship management.
• Interface with senior executive level stakeholders from across the departmental service level.

 Results focus: Own performance was appraised against departmental objective resulting in a 7% saving in procurement price on the 2014 fuel budget, through prudent SRM and e Commerce.
