Procurement, We Bet You Haven’t Read One of These From Us Before

Dear reader, we know how engaged you are in the procurement world. And we aren’t trying to pretend that this isn’t a plug for the Proactis 2021 ReThink conference. It is, and it’s absolutely an event you should check out! Here’s why.

Proactis’ flagship event will focus on the future of Procurement and its constantly evolving journey of growth and maturity.

What is Proactis ReThink ’21?

Over three days – from 9 to 11 November – ReThink ’21 will bring together spend management professionals from across public and private sectors, in an all-online event including dynamic thought leadership presentations, detailed customer transformational journeys and best practice applications, and opportunities to network with peers and gain new insights into Proactis solutions.

Centred around the topical themes of evolution, growth and maturity in procurement and finance, the agenda has been designed specifically to help senior procurement and finance professionals ‘rethink’ their strategies, process, and mindsets to drive maximum value for their organisations.

Expertise to highlight the need for change and evolution

Sir Clive Woodward OBE will kick off ReThink ’21. He will be “Tackling Change” by illustrating how, whether in sport or business, the principles associated with creating high-performance teams remain the same, why it’s vital to embrace change, and how creating a culture of relentless learning can help teams and organisations adapt and succeed. As a renowned innovative leader, driven by his determined approach to challenge and rethink the status quo and drive more efficient and effective operating methods, Sir Clive’s session will perfectly set the scene for the rest of ReThink.

During the event, Proactis will also be welcoming renowned Procurement expert Peter Smith, Managing Director of Procurement Excellence Ltd and Former Managing Editor of Spend Matters UK / Europe. His session – “New Procurement Trinity: Revenue, Resilience and Purpose” – will focus on the maturity journey Procurement needs to embark on over the next decade, and the critical need to manage resilience, to contribute to an organisation’s revenue generation, and to support a sense of purpose. It is truly geared towards sparking those in-depth thoughts in Procurement leaders’ minds to enable them to enact positive transformative change.

Proactis is also excited to join a special panel discussion: “Beyond Technology: Unlocking Success in Digital Transformation”. Featuring an expert panel of industry leaders, the discussion will explore how, whilst technology makes innovation possible, it’s an organisation’s capacity to embrace that innovation that will make all the difference.

Customers’ insights into their digital transformational journeys and lessons learned

Proactis is very much looking forward to hearing about the transformational journeys several Proactis customers have undertaken:

Craig Templeton, Business Systems Manager at Four Seasons Health Care, will share how, already achieving AP efficiencies with Proactis Invoice Capture, the independent health provider expanded its use of Proactis solutions across the areas of purchasing and procurement, implementing a fully automated, end-to-end, Source-to-Pay solution against very pressing time frames. He’ll discuss the drivers behind this continued digital transformation journey with Proactis, how the organisation overcame cultural barriers to internal adoption, and the value of the strong working relationship with Proactis beyond project delivery.

The University of Essex’s Carol Saward, Head of Income and Payments, and Philip Sweeting, Head of Procurement, will discuss the University’s digital Source-to-Pay transformational journey – moving from manual to fully automated processes. Having already achieved substantial Procurement savings following the implementation of Proactis Source-to-Contract, they’ll share details of the most recent stage of their digital transformation (delivered at the onset of the pandemic), to streamline purchasing and invoice processing, as well as insight into internal buy-in, the tangible impact of their transformational journey, and their plans for future to continue the growth and success.

Liz Lucas, Head of Customer and Digital Services at Caerphilly County Borough Council, will discuss the challenges and opportunities she has identified during a 20-year journey to build one of the strongest Procurement teams in Wales, working alongside Proactis. She’ll share how the Council developed an ever-evolving Procurement strategy, identified the need for end-to-end electronic Procurement, maintained and increased performance levels against challenges within the sector, and aligned Procurement to the needs of the council and those of the local economy.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to ‘ReThink’ your procurement strategy

This is only a snapshot of the many thought-provoking and first-hand experiences that will be shared throughout the event and the insightful sessions delivered by Proactis themselves. There will also be the opportunity to network with fellow procurement and finance peers and to meet specially selected Proactis Partners in the virtual exhibition.

It is set to be an extremely insightful, thought-provoking event, so make sure you don’t miss it. Register today to secure your place.
