Mastering Data Visualisation and Becoming a Data Fiduciary

From bar charts to pie charts, line graphs and everything in between, we've been placing data in visual form since the first bar graph was invented in the 1700's. While charts and graphs have been common parts of our lives, the demand for data visualisation has skyrocketed in recent years. Today, anyone hoping to reach a modern audience must know how to best visualise the data at hand. But, as the popularity of data viz has reached new levels, so too have the mistakes. 

Inaccurate representations of data, whether intended or accidental, run rampant in media today. This has led to a loss of trust in brands and worse, a loss of trust in facts. To mitigate this, we must all become data fiduciaries—a role that requires a deep understanding of the brain science behind data viz and the best practices within this medium.
