What are the benefits of Accounts Payable & Procurement working together.

The question is - as opposed having Procurement BPO including spot buying and Accounts Payable outsourced to two different providers, what are the benefits of having the same provider, system and location for the two, this is a question we are to debate at Qantas soon.
