Seeking Advice

I am searching for a new position, but due to family reasons, I AM NOT able to consider any positions that require relocation from my current home in Rochester, NY. However, I am willing and able to travel as needed to fulfill the requirements of a job - including, if needed, spending several nights a week away from home. The advertised job market within a 100 mile radius of my home is very "light", and there are currently very few advertised positions that appear to be a fit for my experience and my salary expectations. Based on my situation as described above, I am looking for advice on how to find a new position that will be a fit for my skills and experience. Please note that I have been doing some "prospecting" within my existing LinkedIn network, but I have thus far not been overly aggressive in that regard. I am also regularly checking job postings on LinkedIn, Monster, CareerBuilder, Indeed, The Ladders, and ISM Careers. I am willing to work on contract if "on role" employment is not available. I have also thought about trying to become part of an established consulting group, but I don't have a good sense as to how to do that - especially given my inability to relocate.
