Is it possible to do Container -sea freight reverse auction & whether Shipping Lines could be brought on board and have them participate in reverse auction?

Hi Pankaj, I think is a very good idea. I have worked for a maritime shipping company and our KAMs participated very often in tenders for importante customers. There is lot of value to genereate by doing this because you have many variables to discuss: freight price, inland operations products, transit time, free days, etc, etc. Hope this helps.

Hi Pankaj, I've worked with 3 or 4 different clients in the past 12 months who have used our software (www.marketdojo.com) to run reverse auctions on sea freight with great success. I'd be happy to discuss this with you further.

Lewis Barnard We've seen it ran through a reverse auction too, but you need the volume to incentivise the providers as the margins are very small
