Has technology actually changed B2B buying in the last 5-10 years?

I know we all kind of WANT technology & social media to have changed how we work, but has the process of buying actually changed within the last 5-10 years? For example, when running an RFP do you follow a different process than you did 5 years ago? When following the sourcing process - from finding suppliers through running the RFP, creating the contract to raising the PO - what do you do differently now than you did 5-10 years ago?
