Ethical standards with the supply chain

I’m trying to establish an ethical code within my supply chain. However, I’ve encountered that ‘ethics’ has different meaning in different countries. So my thought was to spell out my expectations, ensuring our supply chain is not engaging in things such as child labor or slavery. I would appreciate feedback on being specific or what other companies are doing to address this.
