eSourcing e2e suites: Efficiency vs faster red tape?

Hello fellow Sourcing pros. I'm looking for practioners' insights as to the real value-ROI of end to end sourcing suite SW. Our internal discussions highlight 2 contrasted views: 1- Seemless data and workflow insures compliance to best practice processes and facilitates developing insights from data Vs 2- We need agility in our new world. Does the SW force detail oriented, inflexible, non agile processes, therefore yielding more compliance but no NET time savings for category managers and sorcing pros? Many thanks, Dan
