There are a lot of companies that have 'placebo' travel risk management systems, that expose both the traveller and company to unnecessary risk. Therefore, it poses the question, do procurement managers really understand what is travel risk management or is it just another purchasing opportunity to economise? With developing legislation, both finance and procurement are now legally accountable for these errors too.
