Are there specific skillsets required to enter the property and construction industry as a procurement professional?

Hello all, Hope you're well. I'm wondering if there are any specific skills that commercial training could provide for one to enter into the property and construction industry? A few vacancies have strongly indicated experience as a major factor, which is rather limiting for someone who is experienced in other industries and with generic procurement processes.
