Are "Procurement Certifications" the root cause of Procurements Talent/Skills Dilema?
Many procurement professionals have certifications such as xCIPS/CPPx etc, demonstrating the ability to undertake pre-defined processes (best practices). Yet the requirements on procurement have changed and many CPOs are now looking for innovators, thought leaders, people to challenge the current processes and models.
Do we need to modify the current certification models, move away from them, do nothing or do something else?
